Adding value to career experience
"It's great to have Rick as a resource. When I looked at the list of mentors, I selected him because he was in recruiting, he has a lot career experience in high-level areas and he knows a lot of people. Each time I go to conferences, or tradeshows and meet people, I mention that I know Rick and explain the program. It's definitely added value to my career experience."

Building connections
"It is always fun to work with somebody and to help them out. Daniel would be Daniel without what I say, but it's the idea of guiding a little bit, opening up a few doors, or hooking him into the network. Now that we have this connection, I will always be a resource for him."

Learning from each other
"The MiHR Council's Virtual MineMentor program is going extremely well for both of us. We have had a lot of interaction thus far (including two face-to-face meetings), sharing ideas and experiences, providing and evaluating advice, and supporting each other. We are both learning a lot about ourselves and each other, through the mentee-mentor dialogue process. The initial phase of the program has gone very smoothly and we are both enjoying keeping in touch regularly, on both personal and professional topics. The relationship is very congenial and we are enjoying the program immensely."

Sharing information
"Things are going great! My V-mentor is a really nice and helpful guy and we have been speaking on an almost daily basis since I was set up with him. I have also spoken with some of the other v-mentors who seem happy to provide information."
